The estimator is responsible for preparing and maintaining accurate cost estimates for products manufactured by Vulcan Industries. This role supports sales representatives and internal managers by reviewing rough and detail sketches, engineering drawings, photographs, renderings and physical samples to determine material requirements and fabrication methods. The estimator prepares bills of material, obtains pricing from vendors, calculates labor requirements for manufacturing, assembly, packaging, and shipping, and enters all data into the company's estimating system. Completed estimates are compiled into reports for engineering and sales review, approval and markup. Essential Job Functions Preferred Skills Basic Qualifications: Working Conditions Inside, normal office environment, variable workdays and/or hours. Some overtime may be required.
