Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work ON-SITE with our client in Johnson City, TN. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

• The candidate, as part of the Firmware / Software team, will design and develop software and unit tests, review process and design documents, and perform code reviews for automation products.
• The Engineer works primarily on Functional Safety projects in the Research & Development organization, reporting to the Functional Safety Project Manager.
• Perform complex software design and development tasks.
• Design subsystems.
• Participate in requirements and design reviews.
• Participate in code reviews of project software.
• Design and implement unit tests.
• Work independently to resolve technical issues - including issue analysis and the preparation of reports.
• Implement quality and process improvements.
• Participate in the creation of project schedules and adhere to those schedules.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $36.00 / hr.

Hours: 40 hrs/Week. (1^st shift).

Length: Contract (12 months).

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in software development.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
• Able to understand standards, specifications, and other documents to implement assigned tasks.
• Demonstrated software design and development knowledge.
• Proficiency in the C# or JAVA programming language.
• Understanding of object-oriented design methodologies.
• Self-motivated and results-oriented with good problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrates good interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency with NUnit or JUnit.
• Proficiency with XML.
• Familiarity with Industrial Automation control systems, PLCs, and engineering systems like client TIA Portal - including Fundamental LAD and SCL language programming.
