Maintenance Mechanic - Great Falls, Montana

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be a key part of a team responsible for creating high-quality foods that are eaten nationwide. You will use technology in an industry-leading facility, working with high-level operators on experienced teams. This role is an opportunity to challenge yourself, gain valuable skills, and develop your leadership abilities by adopting and implementing new ideas. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing our industrial processing and packaging machinery to ensure our operations run smoothly and safely.

Shifts

We are currently hiring on 1st shift. Ability and willingness to work overtime, any shift, including days, nights, weekends, holidays and emergency events

Plant operation is 24 hours a day, 7 days per week

• 8 or 10 hour shifts availability
  • 8 hour: Monday - Friday from 7 am to 3 pm
  • 10 hour: Monday - Fridayfrom 6 am - 4 pm

Pay

The starting pay for this position is $27.10 per hour, with annual negotiated increases. Overtime opportunities are available and compensated as follows:

• Time worked after 8 hours is paid at 1.5 times the regular rate of pay.
• Time worked on Saturday is paid at 1.5 times the regular rate of pay.
• Time worked on Sunday is paid at 2 times (double pay) the regular rate of pay.

Key Accountabilities:

• Install, maintain, repair, and replace industrial processing and packaging machinery, work tools, and equipment.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical issues, providing technical support and plant leadership for equipment modifications.
• Understand, initiate, and participate in Root Cause Analysis to solve problems.
• Perform both uptime and downtime preventative maintenance to ensure machinery reliability.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance and assist in training new employees.
• Consistently lift, manipulate, and transport equipment or parts, up to 50 lbs.
• Perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, and twisting over surfaces.
• Adhere to all grooming and safety requirements for a food manufacturing environment, including wearing required protective equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance or equivalent education in a related field.
• Ability to work in varying environmental conditions (hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet).
• Willingness to work around industrial high-speed moving machinery and common food allergens.
• Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms.
• Must be able to work in a tobacco-free environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Fabrication and Welding experience.
• Strong technical background with the ability to quickly learn and adapt.
• Passionate about the food industry and continuous improvement.
