What you will do
Johnson Controls is seeking a Senior Thermal Data Center Systems Engineer to support the thermal subsystem or component designs within the data center cooling product portfolio. In this role, you will operate with minimal supervision, determining approaches to thermal solutions and leading small technical efforts. You will demonstrate proficiency across multiple thermal domains and understands the complete thermal chain from server to ambient. This position is based onsite, minimum 3 days per week, at our Advanced Technology and Innovation Center located in New Freedom, PA. Candidates must be commuting distance to the facility or able to relocate.
How you will do it
Own thermal subsystem or component designs for data center cooling products (dry coolers, remote condensers, CDUs, cold plate systems)
* Define specifications for thermal features or products; develop test protocols and acceptance criteria
* Lead prototype development and validation activities; develop and execute comprehensive test plans
* Integrate multiple components into subsystem solutions understanding the complete thermal chain
* Participate in process improvement for testing and analysis methods
* Guide and mentor less experienced engineers; represent Engineering in cross-functional activities
