Supports and assists the Pharmacist in the preparation, distribution, and inventory control of medication and performs other duties as necessary for the provision of patient focused pharmacy services. Assists with training of pharmacy technicians, has been trained and is a resource person for specialty area and has an active role in improving workflow. The Pharmacist will check all medications and preparations before they are dispensed. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Mercy Hospital Jefferson 1400 US-61 North Festus, MO 63028 Hours/Schedule: PRN (As Needed) Minimum Qualifications: Pharmacy Student I: Education: Enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school and in their 4th year. Licensure: Registered in good standing with the state of practice Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Intern or as a Pharmacy Technician. Pharmacy Student II: Education: Enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school and in their 5th year. Licensure: Requires valid Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Intern License per state to be registered with state of practice Board of Pharmacy and in good standing. Pharmacy Student III: Education: Enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school and in their 6th year of pharmacy school. Licensure: Requires valid Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Intern License per state to be registered with state of practice Board of Pharmacy and in good standing. Pharmacy Student IV: Education: Enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school and in their 7th year of pharmacy school. Licensure: Requires valid Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Intern License per state to be registered with state of practice Board of Pharmacy and in good standing.
