DESCRIPTION

This opening is for a Clinical RN coordinator support for vascular specialty.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with call scheduling, staff assignments, for specific surgical service line.Clinical expert in the surgical service line, serves as a role model, assists to develop new policy and procedures - Daily work entails morning and afternoon rounds to manage issues
  • Develops work schedules as required for specialty teams using established guidelines with periop program
  • Reviews daily OR schedules
  • Perform conflict checks for equipment, instruments, devices, and ancillary staffing requirements
  • Long-term strategic planning and program development activities that include: ensuring systems, procedures, and equipment/supplies are organized such that direct patient care activities achieve the highest level of quality/cost standards.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in order to proactively plan for department growth, on boarding of new surgeons, the addition of new procedures and technology.
  • Quality management and Process Improvement activities include: Development of, or participation in, departmental quality metrics and QA activities for specialty service line.
  • Education and training activities include: in services for new hires, mentoring and coaching of nurses cross covering service line On boarding of new surgeons/residents/fellows to the service line; in services for new procedures, equipment or technologies used by the service line
  • Development of teaching/training materials for new procedures, equipment or technologies used by the service line.
  • Other related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
  • RN License issued by the State of California.
  • BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART w/in 6 months of hire date.
  • Five (5) years of OR nursing experience with at least two (2) of those years in vascular specialty.
  • Experience with complex open and endovascular cases, working in hybrid OR room , making adjustments to preference cards and ordering vascular supplies required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have decision making, problem solving and prioritizing skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • CNOR or Certification within the surgical specialty.
  • ACLS and/or ART
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Flexible to work variable hours, days, shifts, on-call and locations based on the 24-hour Medical Center's business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $146,578 - $205,167 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $70.20 - $98.26

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
