Position Summary

Arts & Science is seeking a talented Faculty Affairs Administrator to join Liberal Studies. This individual will manage and oversee processes and projects related to faculty recruitment, reappointment and promotion, and governance within Liberal Studies. Areas of responsibility include: managing the full-time faculty hiring process; faculty onboarding and visa facilitation; assisting with faculty workshops and events; program assessment initiatives; and generating data to support and inform Liberal Studies initiatives.



Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts subject

Required Experience:
3+ years Office/administrative experience in academic environment.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, spreadsheet and database applications, WordPress and Interfolio. Strong attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to work with a range of personalities and develop strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to work independently to develop creative solutions to complex challenges. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.



Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $75,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
