Compelling content plays a critical role in how Leidos shows up clearly, credibly, and with purpose. We are seeking a Content Manager who can connect strategy to execution and ensure our storytelling is timely, consistent, and effective.

This role leads the planning, production, and performance of content across our digital footprint. The Content Manager will own and execute our content strategy and its timing by managing a central editorial calendar composed of paid, earned, social and owned content that spans corporate and sector campaigns, recruitment, corporate responsibility, investor relations, and strategic projects. The Content Manager will perform editorial review of content, ensuring our brand voice comes through, our style guide is followed, GEO/SEO is maximized, and when needed, will facilitate the creation of rich multimedia content to bolster output. He or she will monitor content performance to report out to leadership and to determine extended content promotion in mediums such as opt-in newsletters and third-party content syndication.

The candidate must have the ability to rapidly synthesize content requests, determine strategic fit, align to impactful themes, and push the team to produce higher-performing content as part of truly integrated campaigns. Success in this role comes from strong judgment, the ability to simplify complex inputs, and a collaborative mindset.

As a member of the Center of Excellence for Marketing and Brand Experience, your leadership of a collaborative editorial process, deep understanding of the nuances of producing high-quality content, and passionate advocacy for content marketing will enable the success of the broader communications team.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead and maintain an integrated content strategy aligned to business priorities
  • Lead content planning calls with newsroom-like efficiency
  • Perform editorial reviews in a fast-paced environment
  • Produce impactful content, leveraging creative resources when required
  • Collaborate with digital resources to validate GEO/SEO across outputs
  • Grow opt-in newsletter subscriber base and content syndication performance
  • Educate stakeholders how to use content by buyer's journey stage
  • Monitor content performance metrics and generate reports / recommendations
  • Stay current on best practices and competitor approaches
  • Use approved AI tools responsibly to improve efficiency and consistency of content production

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications or related field and 8+ years track record in content marketing and storytelling within the federal government and/or information technology marketplace. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree requirements.
  • Strong skills in strategic planning, project management, creative ideation, sales enablement
  • Fluency in content trends as well as hands-on CMS, AI, social, and analytics tool fluency to include Drupal, Sprinklr, SiteImprove and core Google products.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, understanding the critical role each plays in the success of our organization.
  • Ability to execute and monitor simultaneous projects with high visibility and competing deadlines.
  • Strong drive for results and experimentation, driven to test new tactics, channels, and formats to drive results.
  • Driven by getting things done to the absolute highest of standards, leveraging collaboration tools and repeatable processes effectively.
