Position Summary

The Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Operations serves as a key strategic and operational leader for the Einstein campus. In partnership with senior leadership, this role ensures that campus operations are aligned with Montefiore Medical Center's mission, strategic priorities, and performance expectations. The AVP provides executive oversight and leadership in support of operational efficiency, human resources stewardship, facilities operations, construction and capital projects, financial planning and management, and new program and business development.

Reporting to the Vice President of Operations and Executive Director of the Einstein Campus, the AVP of Operations collaborates closely with the AVP of Nursing, Medical Director, HR Leadership, and campus leaders to foster staff engagement, strengthen operational performance, and promote the delivery of highquality, efficient, and patientcentered care.

Success in this role requires a seasoned operator with advanced leadership capability, strong analytical and business acumen, and exceptional interpersonal and relationshipmanagement skills.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or equivalent advanced education in healthcare, business, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare or hospital operations, with demonstrated leadership in a complex, multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Proven ability to oversee financial and business operations, including budgeting, financial planning, and resource management.
  • Experience managing operational efficiency, human resources, facilities, construction projects, and new program or service development.
  • Strong knowledge of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance standards in healthcare settings.
  • Advanced leadership skills with the ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and foster staff engagement across clinical and administrative teams.
  • Demonstrated success in promoting high-quality, patient-centered care while optimizing operational performance.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
