JOB SUMMARY
Vaco is currently seeking a Business Intelligence / Promotions Analyst (Retail) for a Direct-Hire located in Plano, TX 75254 (hybrid onsite 3-days per week). The Business Intelligence / Promotions Analyst will provide strategic promotional recommendations through analysis and execution of Strategic Promotional Effectiveness across the organization. The Business Intelligence / Promotions Analyst will work across Merchandising, Marketing, Stores, and the Information Systems teams. The ideal Business Systems Analyst will possess strong communication and analytical skills with a focus on detailed execution of processes.
  • Promotional Effectiveness (30%)
    • Work with Merchants / IT - Creating / Maintaining Repository of Historical Promotions Financial Performance / Trends Associates Tactics
    • Develop / Manage Process - Identifying / Measuring Actual Promo Volume / Discount Depth / Types / Support Vehicles / # Trips Vendor Funding
    • Construct Baseline Calculation Process - Updating as Promo Periods Cycle
    • Capture Marketing / Shopping Guide Features / Ads / Placements for Promo Periods
  • Promotional Period Planning (40%)
    • Manage Promo Planning Deliverables Across Teams / Accuracy of Information Submitted
    • Lead Category / Vendor Performance Reviews - Recommending Types of Promotions / Tactics to be Tested / Built into Plans
    • Create Promotional Scenario Modeling - Forecasting to Estimate Performance ROI of Planned Promotions
    • Evaluate Effectiveness of Promo / StrategyRules / Identify Opportunities to Make Recommendations for Future Promo Planning
  • Post Promotional Verification (20%)
    • Work with Merchandising / Store Ops - Developing Promo Verification to Measure Actual Results of Promo Period Against Forecast / Goals
    • Build Drillable Reporting on Promotions - Providing Insights / Recommendations on Necessary Actions
