Continuation past the termlengthdiscussed willbebasedonuniversityneed,performance,and/oravailabilityoffunding.POSITION SPECIFICS The Department of Animal Science at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for a new position; Assistant Teaching Professor of Beef Production. This position is a 36-week, non-tenure line faculty appointment with 50% Teaching and 50% Extension responsibilities and is located on the University Park campus. RESPONSIBLITIES: Develop a robust extension program in beef production and management, and scholarly teaching including livestock evaluation. Responsibilities include:
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum M.S. (Ph.D. preferred) in animal science, dairy science, or related discipline with demonstrated accomplishments in teaching, outreach, and/or applied research in beef production and management. The successful candidate must have completed all degree requirements by the appointment date. The successful candidate must have outstanding communication skills and be procient at the scholarship of teaching and outreach. Congeniality and the ability to work cooperatively and engage professionally with our population of faculty, staff, and students, dairy producers and industry leaders is required.
