MicroStation OpenRoads Designer

ECS is hiring a Geotechnical CAD Designer to join our team in South Carolina. This person will be focused on high-visibility transportation infrastructure where your technical expertise bridges the gap between subsurface data and roadway design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce geotechnical plan sheets using MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer.

• Develop boring location plans, profiles, and geotechnical cross sections.

• Create pavement section details and embankment exhibits.

• Integrate subsurface exploration data into DOT roadway plan sets.

• Manage stationing, alignments, and profiles within the Bentley environment.

• Maintain DOT CAD standards, levels, and symbology for all deliverables.

• Coordinate with geotechnical and structural teams to ensure plan accuracy.

• Perform QA/QC checks on redline updates and file organization.

Basic Qualifications:

• 5 or more years of CAD design experience in transportation or infrastructure.

• Proficiency in MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer.

• Proven experience supporting DOT projects and submittal requirements.

• Ability to interpret geotechnical reports and engineering sketches.

• Strong file management skills within multidisciplinary engineering environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with geotechnical boring programs and exploration layouts.

• Knowledge of retaining wall or slope stabilization exhibits.

• Prior use of InRoads, Geopak, or Civil 3D.

• History of working on design-build transportation projects.
