What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the product you own.
  • Act as the voice of the customer, gathering and prioritizing requirements to ensure the curriculum meets the needs of students, teachers, and educational institutions.
  • Create and manage the product backlog, clearly defining user stories, acceptance criteria, and priorities for the development team.
  • Work closely with Agile teams, including developers, designers, and QA, to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of features.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities within the educational landscape.
  • Monitor and report on product performance, leveraging data and analytics to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Engage with educators, administrators, and other stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure the product aligns with the latest educational standards and practices.
  • Influence cross-functional design teams to execute on the iterative, product roadmap set forth by your Math Product Management team.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to provide guidance and clarity to the team.
  • Support in-market activities like proposals, responses to RFPs, rubrics, sales operations and funding requests that leverage your knowledge of product-market fit and the product roadmap.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Curriculum Design, Business, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role, optimally in the education or EdTech sector.
  • An ability to thrive in a changing, dynamic, and honestly sometimes chaotic environment.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working on Agile teams.
  • Strong ability to keep track of details, use supporting technologies (like Jira and others) and make tough but smart decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
