Kratos is seeking aiCustomer Support Engineeriwho will excel at the following responsibilities:



  • Troubleshooting and repair of Kratos hardware and post-delivery support
  • Work alongside project team engineers to understand products; support product testing and serve as customers technical interface after delivery
  • Assess, troubleshoot, repair and document hardware issues on returned products for a variety of customers
  • Perform and document functional testing procedures
  • Assess failure trends and work with product teams to develop corrective actions when necessary; document corrective actions and update engineering documents as required
  • Help develop, coordinate, and publish customer notifications regarding products (e.g., troubleshooting documents, EOL notifications, product change notices, technical bulletins, etc.)

Required Experience:

  • Bacheloris Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent with 5+ years of work experience. (Experience may substitute for degree requirements.)
  • Familiarity withiLinux and CLIi(command line interface), Windows, and PowerShell.
  • Basic networking knowledge.
  • Basic Computer hardware knowledge & experience troubleshooting electronic devices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and technical writing skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.


Preferred Skills/Experience



  • Exposure to satellite telemetry, tracking and control architectures, data encryption/decryption, serial data systems, networks, digital signal processing, and/or embedded systems desired but not required.
  • Familiarity with various hand tools as well as commercial test equipment such asiSpectrum Analyzer, Vector Network Analyzer, Oscilloscope, WAN Emulator, etc.
  • Experience working with a team comprised of diverse disciplines (hardware, software, firmware, manufacturing, configuration management).
  • Software application/development (C++, Java, Python) and hardware development experience a plus.
  • LabVIEW/TestStand experience a plus.

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Competitive salary based on experience and education
Salary Range: $80,000-$110,000
