Department: Production Title: Shift/Production Supervisor Shift: Night (6:00pm - 6:00am) Reports to: Production Manager The Shift/Production Supervisor will manage the activities of the twisting and extrusion department. Shift/Production Supervisor is responsible for promoting adherence to safety rules, upholding quality standards, and meeting production goals. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties of the Shift/Production supervisor include but are not limited to: - Overseeing all aspects of the extrusion and twisting departments. - Work closely with department leads, production and maintenance employees to meet production goals. - Help develop and train new employees to be effective on the job but also to provide. opportunities for employee advancement. - Work with all departments; quality, maintenance, and production to address issues with equipment and improve efficiency. - Participate in Kaizen and Continuous Improvement events and activities. - Monitor attendance and staffing needs as well as performance of the assigned employee. - Will help with training and evaluating of employees. - Will help cover shifts and/or work off shift to help support plant operations when needed. Qualifications - 2+ years supervisor experience in a production role. - Strong leadership skills. - Ability to read and understand electrical drawing/schematics. - Basic computer skills. (Outlook, Excel, Word) - Ability to work nights/weekends as needed to support plant operations. - Ability to work as part of a team. Behaviors
