*Job Title: Foreclosure Assistant II**Job Description*The Foreclosure Assistant II plays a vital role by providing administrative support to the Default Department. The primary responsibility of this position is to process accounts payable duties within the Default sector under general supervision. This role involves the timely processing of fees, costs requests, invoices, and payoff requests.
*Responsibilities* * Prepare audit folders and assemble all required documents with flags at the conclusion of the foreclosure process. * Review and process daily approved invoices for the Foreclosure department and dispute payments if they exceed guidelines. * Process refunds of deposits. * Prepare and distribute sales results notifications to investors and senior management as needed. * Perform internet research to identify utilities and homeowner associations; make necessary payments and transfer accounts as needed. * Make photocopies and file documents upon request. * Distribute and process department mail. * Update data in internal systems with current status. * Create summaries and spreadsheets upon request. *Essential Skills* * Strong aptitude with numbers and comfort in performing calculations. * Proficiency in Excel, particularly in handling calculations. * Strong organizational skills and a sense of urgency to thrive in a fast-paced environment. * Basic proficiency with data entry, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. * Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment. *Additional Skills & Qualifications* * Experience in an administrative role in the consumer mortgage industry, preferably in mortgage defaults. * High school diploma or equivalent preferred. * Prior experience preparing certified mail is preferred. * Experience with document retention software, such as Blitzdoc, preferred. * 10-key by touch preferred. *Why Work Here?*Join a dynamic work environment that values attention to detail and offers opportunities to grow within the financial services industry. Dress code is business casual. *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
