As a Vice President, Marketing Ops & Platforms, you will lead the strategy and execution that powers how marketing gets done at Empower. You'll sit at the center of people, process, and technology-modernizing our marketing operations so campaigns move faster, scale smarter, and deliver measurable impact across B2B and B2C. Your work enables high-quality execution, clear priorities, and strong collaboration across Marketing, Product, IT, and Sales. This role matters because it turns strategy into action and ensures our marketing engine runs smoothly end to end.

What you will do

  • Set and own the enterprise marketing operations strategy aligned to business goals and modernization priorities

  • Advise senior marketing leaders on delivery models, operational readiness, and portfolio health

  • Prioritize and manage a marketing project portfolio based on impact, capacity, and ROI

  • Establish standards for campaign intake, governance, SLAs, workflows, and operational dashboards

  • Lead the Martech and agency ecosystem, including platform strategy, integration, vendor performance, and contracts

  • Drive adoption and optimization of work management and project management platforms

  • Build and scale consistent project management and workflow practices across global marketing teams

  • Partner with Marketing, Product, IT, and Sales to streamline workflows and reduce operational friction

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning to maximize efficiency and value

  • Define KPIs and reporting to track delivery performance, risks, and continuous improvement

What you will bring

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in marketing, business, communications, social sciences, or a related field

  • 15+ years of experience in marketing operations, Martech, program management, or related disciplines

  • 7+ years of people leadership experience managing and developing diverse teams

  • Proven experience leading large-scale people, process, and technology transformation

  • Strong ability to collaborate and influence across Marketing, Product, IT, Sales, and external partners

  • Advanced project and portfolio management skills across internal teams and agencies

  • Experience leading budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for complex organizations

  • Clear communication skills with the ability to translate strategy into operational plans

  • Hands-on experience with project management and work management platforms such as Workfront

What will set you apart

  • Master's degree in a related field

  • Experience modernizing enterprise marketing operations in a regulated or complex environment

  • Deep expertise integrating and rationalizing large Martech ecosystems

  • Strong background in campaign operations, automation, and analytics enablement

  • Experience defining and scaling global marketing governance models

  • Demonstrated success improving speed-to-market and operational efficiency through automation or AI

  • Ability to balance strategic vision with practical, execution-focused leadership

Base Salary Range

$175,300.00 - $254,200.00

The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
