Position Summary

The Pharmacy Technician Specialist Haz Compound assists in performing manipulative and non-discretionary functions associated with the practice of pharmacy. The technician works with other health professionals to provide comprehensive care to oncology and non-oncology infusion patients. Responsibilities may include coordination of equipment and supplies. The technician will have additional knowledge and skill in the ability to follow mixing formulations and the use of specialized compounding equipment, mixing techniques, and hazardous chemicals. Knowledgeable in the rules and regulations specific to the practice of sterile extemporaneous compounding is required.

Requirements


  • Successful completion of WA Board of Pharmacy approved Pharmacy Technician Training Program
  • Current Washington State Board of Pharmacy Technician License
  • Experience in IV sterile compounding, both hazardous and non-hazardous
  • Hospital experience preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $27.58 - $44.93 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
