What We Need:

We are looking for a Finance Analyst 2 to join our HNI Workplace Furnishings - Operations team.

  • Responsible for analyzing, developing models, and leading the implementation of initiatives primarily focused in ensuring fiscal financial objectives. Instrumental in continuous process improvement in existing operations to optimize the financial network. Plays a critical role in the strategic and tactical direction in reducing costs, increasing efficiencies and achieving operational excellence. Prepares accurate and timely forecasts/analyses/conclusions for key decision making. Ensures compliance with federal, state, local regulatory mandates.
    Assigned processes which may include concentrated areas of but not limited to general ledger, weekly/monthly financials, budgets and forecasts, Treasury, bid, to deliver consistent flawless execution at best total cost.

What You Will Do:

  • Drive projects/initiatives related to continuous improvement activities across finance/accounting function.
  • Partner with diverse internal/external customer base.
  • Builds models to ensure accurate and timely financial analysis.
  • Integrate assigned process initiatives to ensure flawless execution.
  • Analyze data/trends/economical indices, identify opportunity for improved growth/profitability and develop business case to support conclusion.
  • Ensures the accurate completion and distribution of necessary weekly, monthly, quarterly, ad-hoc reports.
  • Drive alignment of broader financial initiatives with respective stakeholder groups.
  • Participate in activities as appropriate to ensure the success of the organization.

What You Have:

  • 4 Year Bachelor's degree required: preferably in Business Administration, Finance/Accounting
  • Master's Degree and professional certification preferred

  • Proven ability to analyze complex business data and to effectively communicate technical analysis to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Strong technical project management skills with the ability to coordinate, manage, and ensure the success of initiatives
  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to own an initiative and drive successful results.
  • Demonstrated successful negotiation skills with the ability to influence/persuade stakeholders to build consensus across all levels of the organization.
  • Possess keen business acumen with the ability to interact with key members of the executive management team.
  • Demonstrated excellence in written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Understands and communicates with a diverse set of leaders and associates at various levels within various functional areas that impact the business.
  • Understands the needs of internal and external customers, the business, and the competitive landscape.
  • Advanced analytical/problem solving skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure with changing priorities and meet deadlines with quality output
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products and Oracle preferred.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking ability, strong organization and multi-tasking skills
