Position Summary
The HR Employee Relations Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Employee Relations team, helping ensure a fair, consistent, and positive workplace environment. This role is ideal for someone early in their HR career who is detailoriented, highly organized, and eager to learn the foundations of employee relations, compliance, and workplace investigations.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1-2 years of administrative, HR, or office support experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar tools.

  • Sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Stand for long periods of time.
  • Lifting/carrying less than 30 lbs.

Employee Relations Support

  • Assist with intake and documentation of employee concerns, complaints, and workplace issues via Auxiliary ticketing system
  • Support ER team members in coordinating meetings, interviews, and followups related to investigations.
  • Maintain confidential case files, ensuring accuracy, organization, and compliance with recordkeeping standards.
  • Help track case progress and deadlines to ensure timely resolution.

Administrative & Operational Tasks

  • Prepare correspondence, meeting notes, summaries, and reports for the ER team.
  • Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate logistics for ERrelated activities.
  • Assist with data entry, tracking, and maintenance of ER metrics and dashboards.
  • Support the distribution and communication of HR policies and updates.

  • Help research and gather information related to employment laws, policies, and best practices.
  • Assist in updating ER templates, forms, and training materials.
  • Support compliance initiatives, including audits and documentation reviews.

  • Provide general guidance to employees and managers on where to find HR policies, resources, and support.
