This is an opportunity to be at the center of the activities and put the successful candidate in a highly visible position making a real difference.

This position as a Supplier Engineer must both have strong technical knowledge and Program Management skills to manage multiple projects effectively within timelines and effectively collaborate with multiple groups

What you'll do
  • Collaboratively work with suppliers and enginnering groups on High-voltage Power Supplies and high-power analog power generation (RF and non-RF); this includes managing quality for existing designs (as interface between field teams, engineering teams, and suppliers); also work with Product Groups to design state-of-the-art new ones within our product roadmaps.
  • Deep knowledge of PCBA designs and manufacturing.
    • Ability to work with the suppliers to understand how the designs will meet the specs and operate reliably in our environment: that implies ability to work with the design engineers and properly assess FMEA & influence their designs.
  • Ability to specify and qualify automated assembly and test equipment, since testing is a key part of having successful products that work 100% of the time.
    • This includes ability to propose and oversee DOEs (Design-of-Experiments) and Gauge Studies, manage transfer standards, calibration practices, design-for-manufacturability, SPC and Cpk/Ppk expertise + data analysis skills.
  • General knowledge of Systems Engineering basics.
    • Electro-mechanical assembly and component integration.
    • How to apply FW/SW/Communications & Controls in complex device operations for fast switching.
  • Lead/participate in teams to design and conduct experiments, tests, and prototypes to resolve complex technical problems.
  • Present analysis and support technical recommendations clearly and concisely.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams to guide the specification and development of new products, with a specific focus on productization in high volume and design-for-manufacturability
  • Provides technical support for installation and/or diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and debugging complex product issues.
  • Be a leader in problem-solving, defining the problem, identifying objectives, assessing risk, developing approach, analyzing results, and providing recommendations.
  • Implement industry standard process control techniques to manage production efficiencies and quality.
  • Expertise in Reliability Engineering, design-for-reliability (e.g., Reliability Block Model, Accelerated-Life Testing, Fault Insertion, Weibull analysis).
  • Basic Supplier Engineering activities, in order to sustain product lifecycle (change control, obsolescence management, Factory transfers, Quality paretos from failure analyses and managing product CIP); all of these involve active collaboration with our product groups to get those changes approved.
Who we're looking for

  • Exceptional clear communication and presentation skills.
  • Apply experience with industrial Quality Systems, Engineering Design & Documentation, Product Qualification, Change (EC) Processes and Problem Solving to issues occurring in product and component life cycles.
  • Perform Program/Project and Supplier Management roles with emphasis on problem-solving analysis and improvements in manufacturing and test processes. Definition, review and improvement of Supplier'sRoot Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA), Supplier's Quality Systems and Processes of Record (POR)
  • Comfortable traveling up to 25% of the time for supplier audits and at Lam manufacturing sites.
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience in DC power supplies and analog high-power RF, PCBA Manufacturing/Designs, and IC knowledge (hands-on expertise).
  • Analog and digital circuitry design experience is preferred
    • Apply Product and Systems Engineering approaches to understand and resolve problems with equipment functionality, component quality and reliability, design and application margin, and in supplier quality systems
