Description The Expertise You Have 5+ years experience with designing and building UI/Angular and webservice applications while incorporating test automation frameworks Experience in delivering software in the Agile environment Experience with CI/CD pipelines a plus Experience working in the financial Industry Expert level knowledge of SQL, RESTful APIs, system design, data structures, and algorithms Experience with a modern UI framework such as React, Angular or Vue You thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with high risks and high rewards Experience AWS, CI/CD, ES6, React or SASS Experience with FIX Protocol a plus The Skills You Bring Multi-stack engineer with knowledge in a breadth of development technologies and test automation frameworks (Java/J2EE, unit, Ruby, Cucumber, Selenium, Serenity, JavaScript/Angular, Spring, Web Services, REST, HTTP) Passionate about Test Driven Development, developing robust software, writing testable and maintainable code Experience serving as a strong hands-on technical team member producing clean, unit-tested code. Experience mentoring junior staff and defining coding standards and standard methodologies Experience applying Software Engineering Architecture and Design Patterns (OO, Functional, REST) Strong knowledge of Java and Spring Strong knowledge of SQL and Object Relational Mapping (Hibernate) Strong knowledge of JavaScript, Angular, and AngularJS Familiarity with SASS/SCSS and developing for accessibility Solid Understanding of Docker, NgRx, and RxJS are a bonus Passion for continuous integration and continuous delivery Experience focusing on accessibility using a screen reader and other tools Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent 6 - 10 Years of Software Development Experience 3 - 5 Years of Technical Leadership Experience Able to perform many roles within the agile squad from development to QA to systems analysis in order drive sprint deliverables to completion Self-directed, willing to take initiative, pragmatic and results-oriented Has keen attention to detail and wants to solve hard problems, not just detect them Able to learn large software systems end-to-end quickly Keenly interested in learning new technologies and their adoption as well as mentoring others Able to work with remote and international team members Obsessed with creating the best end-to-end customer experience Owns the outcome by taking personal accountability for delivering strong results Skills Java, Springboot, Aws, Postgres, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes Experience Level Expert Level Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Westlake, TX.
