Responsibilities

Process Tech/ Packaging Vertical Line Team Leader

Day Shift 7AM- 3PM

$28.55/HR.

The Process/Packaging Tech VLT provides safety, manufacturing and customer service-based leadership to achieve outstanding business results on a specific production system or process. This position leverages continuous improvement tools, coaching skills, technical abilities, individual skills, and enhanced teamwork to drive out losses in a specific area of accountability. This individual is the owner of the Center line Process Daily Management System and responsible for the integrity of the area's data acquisition and reporting systems. Receives daily direction from the Line Lead and, along with the Line Lead Team, develops the Plan for the Day. Develops the Line Improvement Teams' technical capability and mastery of process control and data analysis.

The Process / Packaging Technician receives daily direction from the Line Lead and, along with the Line Lead Team, develops the Plan for the Day. The Process / Packaging Technician develops the Line Improvement Teams' technical capability and mastery of process control and data analysis.

  • Lead with Safety

  • Function as a technical and business resource in areas of system operations and product requirements.

  • Drive Continuous Improvement and total employee involvement in critical success areas by empowering employees to utilize Manufacturing Excellence processes and Continuous Improvement tools.


Qualifications

  • Demonstrate technical and business expertise on systems/products/technologies they are responsible for improving.

  • Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills through the use of Continuous Improvement techniques. Show thorough understanding of the interactions between machine, materials, methods, environment and people.

  • Demonstrates technical ability to make the connection between raw data and actual manufacturing events and can make that data/process connection for others

  • Ability to backfill any Improvement Team position as needed to cover for absence on any shift.

  • Experience driving line improvements daily through advanced data analysis, prioritization of loss elimination opportunities, management of rate strategy and ownership of data integrity.

  • Recognized technical abilities and practical experience with strong capabilities in Continuous Improvement; Food science/chemistry or packaging science; statistics and analytical methods; process measurement and control; mechanical aptitude; troubleshooting; ability to understand and apply general engineering principles
  • Demonstrated skills in customer Service, problem solving, and teaching and training ability

  • Computer skills including a working knowledge of Maintenance Connection, MIP, Infinity, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
