This Position reports to:

Senior Project Management Manager, Traction

In this role you will be responsible for supporting project execution in Motion - Traction in the USA, ensuring accurate data input to allow our systems to operate appropriately. You will also manage various interfaces (Sales, Project Management, Logistics, Production, Purchasing, Controlling, Auditing) and work closely with both local and global project management teams.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid in Mechanicsville, VA supporting the Motion Traction Division.

Your role and responsibilities:

  • Assist with administrative tasks related to project execution.
  • Define and apply basic project planning techniques on ongoing projects and drive the updating process.
  • Coordinate with related project members for planning and control requirements.
  • Controls documentation accuracy and consistency based on tasks assigned by Project Manager and procedures agreed with the customer.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicate with all stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvements in productivity, delivery performance and cost optimization.
  • Implement and ensure compliance with global and local standards, rules, tools policies and processes related to operations/project execution.

Qualifications for the role:

  • Bachelor's degree or minimum of 2 years of experience working in project execution.
  • Intermediate knowledge of SAP (MM, PS and SD modules) and MS Office.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Process-driven with the ability to creatively solve business problems independently.
  • Highly organized with a focus on speed, accuracy, and continuous process improvement.
  • Experience working in global projects and familiarity with Incoterms.
  • Knowledge of hazardous goods transportation would be an advantage.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
