Security Officer - NY Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - NY Patrol Driver in East Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine foot and driving patrols, stay visible to help to reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and incident reporting using site technology. You will provide clear communication and customer service to employees and visitors, while representing Allied Universal with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity in a people-first culture.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to onsite personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points and grounds for unusual conditions, report maintenance and hazard observations through the appropriate channels, and support orderly traffic flow around industrial operations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with evacuations, medical calls, and/or contacting local emergency services as directed by post orders.
• Complete detailed reports of patrols, incidents, and daily activities, and communicate updates to Allied Universal leadership and location representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
