Duke Health Integrated Practice Duke Health Integrated Practice comprises more than 110 primary and specialty outpatient clinics, extending the reach of the Duke Health mission across the state of North Carolina. JOB LOCATION Duke Triangle Endoscopy Center 249 E. NC Hwy 54, Suite 210 Durham, NC JOB SUMMARY Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) are allied health professionals that perform specialized technical and supportive patient care activities to assist healthcare professionals in diagnostic, therapeutic, and research procedures. This role involves preparing and setting up medical supplies and equipment, obtaining patient information, and explaining procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation. PCTs assist in the collection of specimens, recording vital signs, positioning patients, and attaching monitoring equipment. PCTs assist physicians and nurses during procedures by handling instruments and monitoring equipment readings. PCTs operate and maintain diagnostic and laboratory equipment, perform routine calibrations, and ensure proper sterilization of instruments. Additional responsibilities include recording and compiling data, maintaining supply inventories, and performing related duties to support patient care and clinical operations.
