Summary:

This clinical leadership position is responsible for the effective management, oversight, and performance of hospice clinical services, programs, and interdisciplinary staff. The Clinical Manager provides day-to-day leadership and supervision of hospice care delivery, ensuring services are safe, compliant, high-quality, and aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. The Clinical Manager directly supervises and supports registered nurses, social workers, hospice aides, chaplains, and other assigned hospice team members. Grounded in the Quadruple Aim framework, the Clinical Manager leads, coaches, and develops staff to deliver highly reliable, evidence-based, patient- and family-centered hospice care across all settings. This role partners closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure clinical excellence, effective care coordination, strong communication, and optimal patient/family experience. The position reports to the Director of Nursing.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license to practice in the State of Maine. Current certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers. Clinical specialty certification, highly desirable OASIS certification, preferred.
  3. Experience: Three years of clinical experience; supervisory and home health management experience preferred
  4. Strong knowledge of OASIS required.
  5. Proficient with Electronic Health Record, OASIS, and PDGM.
  6. Working knowledge regarding content, interpretation and implementation of agency policies and procedures.
  7. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  8. Ability to manage in an inter professional team to achieve Agency goals and quality care outcomes.
  9. Working knowledge of the Medicare Conditions of Participation for Home Care and Maine State home health licensing regulations.
