Security Guard - Full-Time Retail Patrol

As a Security Guard - Full-Time Retail Patrol in Costa Mesa, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support guests and tenants with professional customer service. You will complete routine rounds, document observations, and communicate clearly with site contacts and Allied Universal teams. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail shopping location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout common areas, storefront corridors, loading areas, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, suspicious activity, and/or alarms.
• Monitor entrances, parking areas, and high-traffic zones to help to deter unwanted activity and support orderly operations; assist with access control and/or after-hours checks as directed.
• Document security-related activities, observations, and incident details in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate key information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
