Job Description




As a Security Officer - Flex Checkpoint Driver in Nederland, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a chemical and petrochemical location, you will focus on access control by greeting visitors, verifying credentials, managing badge and key procedures, and documenting site activity. You will help support a professional, people-first experience through clear communication and teamwork, acting with integrity while remaining visible and responsive to security-related concerns. This is a driving post and requires a valid driver's license.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, contractors, and employees by following site-specific access control procedures, badge verification requirements, and security-related policies at an industrial petrochemical location.
  • Control entry and exit at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, screening vehicles and deliveries as required, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining accurate access logs.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, radios, and communication systems; respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and notify site leadership and/or emergency responders per post orders.
  • Conduct security-related inspections of entrances, restricted areas, and perimeter access points as assigned, reporting suspicious activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns through the proper channels.
  • Complete detailed written reports and shift documentation, including incident reports, access records, and unusual activity logs, in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
