Position Overview:

A Marketing Specialist at Affinity Plus will provide creative marketing solutions throughout the organization, including all marketing and communications channels. This role will be tasked with implementing and enhancing marketing strategies that effectively describe and promote Affinity Plus and its products and services to members, employees and other stakeholders in line with the organizational brand. This position will also drive key business objectives forward through partners, branch communities, and members and employees through advocacy, visits, relationships, and resources.

Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Create and coordinate product marketing plans and initiatives, supporting such business areas as business services, investment center, student lending, TruStage, etc.
  • Initiate and participate in multi-channel marketing campaign planning
  • Develop and report on necessary metrics to evaluate effectiveness of campaigns and initiatives
  • Serve as Project coordinator for workflow and process platforms to increase efficiency within the marketing team
  • Serve as Project coordinator for AI platform and its creative deliverable process, with Creative Services staff
  • Own collaborative internal "client" relationships with product owners, branch leaders and other stakeholders
  • Participate in creative services review for writing for member communications to ensure engaging content meets the organizational messaging standard
  • Work with other product marketing managers and creative services on editorial calendars and execution for a variety of channels and/or topics, which could include digital signage, external digital signs, on-hold messages, ATMs, etc.
  • Maintain the consistency and build the strength of the credit union's message and brand throughout all communications
  • Proactively research trends in life stage marketing and communication and data related to Affinity Plus membership to bring proactive recommendations forward to keep Affinity Plus messaging relevant and top of mind
  • Build competency in core areas of business through partnership with department and branch leaders in order to support effective communication efforts at all levels of the organization
  • Other duties as assigned



Qualifications and Skills:



  • 2 + years of marketing communication or credit union experience
  • BA in Marketing, Communications or other applicable field or comparable work experience
  • Strong understanding of brand messaging and image
  • Demonstrated project/campaign management skills
  • Excellent communication skills - written, social, presentation, verbal - with the ability to connect, influence and develop strong relationships with member, employee and partner audiences
  • Creative problem solving solutions to challenging situations
  • Strong knowledge of traditional and digital marketing channels
  • Strong time management with the ability to manage multiple workloads with successful result



Workplace Environment:



  • Working in a stationary position for 90% of the work day
  • Utilizing the telephone 15% of the day
  • Moving, lifting and/or carrying 50 pounds with or without accommodations
  • Bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping or crouching when appropriate, on occasion
  • Repetitive movements, including but not limited to typing, mousing, phones, etc.
  • Requires onsite presence based on coordination of work with other employees and/or departments. May require travel to attend on-site meetings/events for collaboration, connection, project work, All-Employee Day, etc.



Required Work Schedule:
Standard Monday through Friday business hours, with occasional weekend and evening hours based on special events. Consistent and reliable attendance is a required essential function of this role to meet the needs of the department/team and organization.

Location:
This position will have the opportunity to work mostly virtual with onsite expectations in St. Paul, MN at least once per week for the first 90 days and for ongoing meetings/events as scheduled. Additionally this position will require occasional travel to various local special events.

Compensation & Total Rewards:

This position has a starting pay range of $24.28 - $30.96 per hour.

This range reflects what we anticipate offering a successful candidate based on factors such as the role's responsibilities, required qualifications, and relevant experience. The actual pay may vary depending on the selected candidate's skills, experience, and other qualifications.
