Job Summary
The Procurement Analyst is responsible for supporting the acquisition of specialized materials, equipment, and services for Space Systems programs. This role develops subcontract specifications, prepares bid packages, evaluates proposals, negotiates contract terms, and administers subcontracts. The analyst works closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality, reliability, and schedule requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Develop subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions
Prepare bid packages and conduct bidders' conferences
Analyze and evaluate supplier proposals and negotiate subcontract provisions
Select or recommend subcontractors and write awards
Administer subcontracts, including modifications, additions, or deletions
Source and purchase electronic components, build-to-print parts, machinery, tools, raw materials, packaging materials, and services
Compile and analyze statistical data to establish price objectives and assess feasibility of purchases
Monitor price trends and manufacturing processes to inform procurement decisions
Evaluate supplier operations to determine factors affecting pricing
Review proposals, negotiate prices, analyze trends, follow up on orders, verify delivery, approve payments, and maintain records
Collaborate with multiple internal departments and external suppliers/customers
Basic Qualifications
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field
Minimum of 1 year of relevant procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of Space Systems or aerospace procurement processes
Experience with build-to-print parts, electronic components, and tooling
Strong negotiation and analytical skills
Proficiency with procurement software or ERP systems
