Job DescriptionPurpose: The MCF Project Engineer enhances the production of world class waterworks products by working as part of a cohesive team that supports and implements technological improvements to equipment and MCF processes. Key Performance Indicators: Sustainability: 100% on time delivery of projects. Sustainability: Less than 10% overage on all established budget parameters. Customer Experience: Attend two professional development seminars/conferences a year. Core Functions of Position: Project Management (40%): Accurately research and estimate cost of engineering projects, schedule project resources and manage contractor agendas. Assist the maintenance and engineering department with project implementations and facility infrastructure repairs to ensure timelines and budgets are met. Foster a relationship throughout the organization and EHS that instills safe work habits among the life of the project and creates an environment which maintains compliance and supports EHS goals. Actively communicate with EHS during project implementation to determine compliance standards and accurately record all compliance data per Corporate and Government standards. Maintenance (40%): Proactively foster partnerships with maintenance and facility managers to resourcefully implement advances and perform predictive and preventative maintenance that ensures machine up-time. Aid the engineering and maintenance department during furnace rebuilds. Thoroughly maintain and test equipment safety systems, program/maintenance robots, and annually test facility/manufacturing equipment to ensure proper functioning. Innovation (20%): Diligently cultivate trusting relationships among the organization to seek thorough understanding of production needs. Proactively identify and research new casting technologies that offer advancement to equipment longevity/efficiency, green alternatives, molding process efficiencies, and machine safety systems and provide budgeted cost/projected timelines for approval. Assist with implementing new technologies/advancements and provide knowledgeable support/training to the production floor. Seek out continuing educational opportunities for professional advancement/knowledge. QualificationsTechnical Skills: Project Management and Planning with a proven record of schedules and budgets, understand CAD drawing software, programmable logic controllers and HMIs. Comprehension of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems & robotic automation. Education and Experience: Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Technology Required: Associate's degree with 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
