What a Shift Looks Like

• 
  

  Review and interpret engineering drawings to ensure welding is performed according to specifications

  
  
• 
  

  Perform welding operations using gas torches, welders, and related forming and cutting equipment

  
  
• 
  

  Fabricate, modify, and repair metal components, alloy articles, fixtures, and assemblies

  
  
• 
  

  Analyze diagrams and specifications to accurately cut and prepare metal materials for welding

  
  
• 
  

  Remove and prepare soft or excess metal to ensure proper weld quality

  
  
• 
  

  Operate a variety of hand and power tools to support welding and fabrication tasks

  
  
• 
  

  Perform riveting and welding of small parts, assemblies, and finished products

  
  
• 
  

  Assemble, modify, and repair existing units as required

  
  
• 
  

  Work with metal sheets and apply insulation materials as part of fabrication processes

  
  
• 
  

  Inspect finished products and perform quality checks to ensure compliance with specifications

  Support production operations by assisting with welding-related activities as needed
