Job Description

The Information Consumption team enables end-users and applications to access curated data through cloud-based platforms, including secure data cleanrooms, query engines, BI tools, notebooks, and federated data services. The team plays a critical role in modernizing legacy data consumption capabilities and migrating them to scalable, resilient cloud architectures that support enterprise analytics and decision-making.

As theManager, Information Consumption (Cloud Migration), you will lead a team of engineers responsible for designing, migrating, and operating cloud-native data consumption solutions. You will partner closely with product, analytics, infrastructure, and cloud platform teams to transition onpremise and hybrid data access patterns to the cloud while ensuring performance, security, and governance at scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drivethe roadmap for cloud-based data consumption platforms, aligned with enterprise cloud and data modernization strategies.
  • Lead cloud migration initiatives for data access, BI, and analytics workloads, including legacy platform decomposition, replatforming, and optimization.
  • Define and implement cloud-native patterns for federated data access, query optimization, secure data sharing, and cross-cloud or hybrid connectivity.
  • Partner with cloud infrastructure and security teams to ensure solutions meet data privacy, governance, and regulatory requirements in the cloud.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Data Infrastructure, Product, Analytics, and BI to enable seamless adoption of migrated platforms.
  • Drive automation, monitoring, and observability for cloud BI and data consumption services, including reliability, cost management, and performance tuning.
  • Establish best practices for cloud operations, including CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and operational readiness for migrated workloads.
  • Mentor and develop engineers as they build cloud engineering and migration expertise.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • Bachelor's or master's in computer science, Data Engineering, or related field.
  • 6+ years in data engineering with 3+ years in leadership roles.
  • Expertise in distributed data systems, SQL, Python.
  • Experience with Cloud BI Platforms, Tableau, PowerBi, Looker, Databricks, dbt.
  • Experience working to uplift and mature BI product capabilities, policies definition, controls and frameworks
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with track record in synthesizing complex information to produce impactful management information and support informed decision making.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to develop and sustain relationships across levels and role types influences and collaborates with all levels, functions and geographies
  • Superior communication and problem-solving skills with a passion to get things done, learn and inspire peers and business partners to uplift skills and capabilities leadership and communication skills.
Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is 146,200.00 to 233,700.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
