Description

Markon is seeking a Systems Engineer Level 1 to support the Fort Meade Customer in mission-critical efforts requiring expertise in Linux and Windows environments, FORNSAT systems, and system requirements development. This role supports system design, integration, documentation, and stakeholder coordination to deliver technically sound, mission-aligned solutions in a complex operational environment.



Responsibilities

    Administer, configure, and troubleshoot Linux and Windows systems, including software installation and FORNSAT system network/software configuration.
  • Support, maintain, and monitor FORNSAT and collection systems to ensure reliable and accurate data flow.
  • Evaluate user needs and system architectures to define, develop, and manage system requirements.
  • Support system design, development, integration, and implementation efforts.
  • Advise users on requirements development and potential technical solution approaches.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation, engineering plans, and related system artifacts.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve cross-discipline technical issues and maintain deliverable integrity.
  • Participate in design reviews, program reviews, and integrated product team activities.
  • Develop, refine, and allocate system requirements, including those related to information assurance and security.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph with this Customer.
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline plus 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience administering and troubleshooting Linux and Windows environments.
  • Experience supporting FORNSAT systems and related collection architectures.
  • Experience developing and managing system requirements.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a mission-focused, multi-disciplinary environment.


Salary Range

USD $120,000.00 - USD $140,000.00 /Yr.

The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
