Description and Requirements

Our AI Infrastructure & Cloud Services Department is growing its presence at our second global HQ site in Morrisville, NC.

We are looking for a Network Engineer to support global network operations and drive AI-powered innovation in network and security domains.

This position is hybrid at our Morrisville site (3 days per week).

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and operate network solutions across global enterprise environments (data center, campus, and security domains)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and security issues with strong hands-on execution
  • Drive continuous improvement of network reliability, scalability, and security posture
  • Identify opportunities to optimize operations through automation and process improvement
  • Collaborate with global teams (US, China, India, EMEA) on network operations and projects
  • Develop and maintain high-quality technical documentation and promote knowledge sharing

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in network engineering or operations
    • Strong early-career candidates with practical experience and fast learning ability are encouraged

Preferred Requirements:

  • Strong hands-on experience in configuring, troubleshooting, and operating real network environments (not limited to theoretical or lab experience)
  • Solid understanding of:
    • L2/L3 protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EVPN preferred)
    • Network security (firewall, segmentation, zero trust concepts)
  • Hands-on experience with some of the following:
    • Cisco, Arista, Aruba, Palo Alto, Fortinet, F5
  • Experience supporting production or enterprise-scale environments preferred
  • Hands-on experience or strong interest in applying AI in network and security operations
  • Exposure to or practical experience with:
    • AI Agents for troubleshooting, operations, or workflow automation
    • LLM-based tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar platforms) applied to real scenarios such as network troubleshooting and incident analysis, configuration validation and optimization, security analysis and anomaly detection
  • Ability to translate operational challenges into AI-assisted workflows or solutions
  • Demonstrated curiosity and continuous learning mindset in adopting emerging AI technologies
  • Strong self-motivation and ownership mindset
  • Demonstrates continuous learning, especially in networking, security, and AI domains
  • Able to work effectively with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in global teams
  • Bilingual (English/Mandarin - Chinese)
