Position Summary


The National Fleet Manager - Power Rental serves as the primary liaison supporting Walmart's power rental fleet across the United States. This role is responsible for coordinating nationwide dealer support, managing Walmart-owned assets, developing standardized processes, and ensuring rapid response to service and operational needs. The position acts as the central point of contact for customer communication, internal teams, and CAT dealership partners to deliver consistent, high-quality fleet support.



Key Responsibilities


Customer & Account Management



  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Walmart power rental operations and customer communication.
  • Build strong working relationships with Walmart stakeholders to ensure timely support and issue resolution.
  • Assess incoming requests, determine urgency, and coordinate appropriate response actions.


Fleet Oversight



  • Track, manage, and maintain visibility of Walmart-owned power rental fleet nationwide.
  • Monitor fleet utilization, availability, service status, and deployment.
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure accurate asset records and reporting.


Dealer Coordination & Logistics



  • Act as the central coordinator with CAT dealerships across the country to dispatch technicians and support Walmart locations.
  • Facilitate communication between dealers, service teams, and the customer to ensure timely execution.
  • Support logistics planning including mobilization, demobilization, and equipment transfers.


Process Development & Continuous Improvement



  • Develop and implement standardized processes to improve customer support, service response, and fleet visibility.
  • Identify gaps in workflow and recommend operational improvements.
  • Establish escalation pathways and service response guidelines.


Service Triage & Troubleshooting



  • Manage inbound calls and service requests, prioritizing based on operational impact and urgency.
  • Provide initial troubleshooting and coordinate technical support when required.
  • Track open issues through resolution.


Reporting & Performance Tracking



  • Maintain reporting on fleet status, service response times, and key performance metrics.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership and Walmart stakeholders.
  • Support forecasting and planning related to fleet demand.

Requirements

Qualifications



  • 5+ years of experience in power generation, heavy equipment rental, or fleet management preferred.
  • Strong background in customer account management and multi-location coordination.
  • Ability to manage complex logistics across multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Highly organized with strong problem-solving and prioritization abilities.
  • Proficiency with fleet management systems, service platforms, and Microsoft Office


Physical Requirements:


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit for long periods, stand, walk, bend and stoop to perform the essential functions of this job. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
