Short Intro and About the Job

Manage resources to grow Danone US business at Walmart. Build and execute customer/category plans that support customer and BU goals and achieve net sales and POS sales growth targets. Own Responsibilities for sales opportunities, business reviews, and day-to-day needs.

1. Drive Customer & Category Growth
Support the Walmart relationship for Danone US Yogurt by developing and executing annual customer and category plans that align with Walmart priorities and Danone BU strategies. Deliver net sales, POS growth, distribution, and share objectives across all in-scope platforms.

2. Support Business Planning & Strategic Analytics
Own business analytics to identify growth opportunities, support customer negotiations, and guide internal decision-making. Provide high-quality insights for business reviews, JBP inputs, forecasting, and daytoday performance management.

3. Optimize Internal & External Collaboration
Serve as a connector across Customer, Commercial, Category Insights, Supply Chain, Finance, and Retail to ensure cohesive planning and high-quality delivery. Build strong credibility with Walmart and Danone as a trusted, proactive partner.

4. Manage Resources & Operational Performance
Effectively manage trade budgets, forecasting processes, and internal resources to maximize ROI, reduce variability, and ensure high-quality execution of plans.

    Customer & Category Planning
  • Support creation and execution of customer plans for assigned categories, ensuring alignment with manager and BU priorities.
  • Coordinate the selling process, including selling materials, meeting prep, and cross-functional alignment.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Walmart's KPIs, strategies, and category goals to inform recommendations and actions.
  • Identify distribution opportunities and improve product visibility through optimized shelf placement, promotions, and advertising; continuously monitor competitive activity.
  • Support the full sales cycle: identification, negotiations, issue resolution, and deal closure.
  • Participate in Joint Business Planning (JBP) and Customer Focused Planning with internal teams and Walmart stakeholders.
  • Leverage internal partners (Category Management, Customer Planning, Shopper Marketing, Supply Chain) to deliver against customer plan objectives.
  • Provide thought leadership that drives Danone growth with Walmart.
  • Participate in demand planning (GPS) by monitoring forecast accuracy versus plan.
  • Identify required plan adjustments based on monthly and quarterly sales performance and trade spend vs. budget.
  • Create and maintain plans within Danone's internal planning systems.
  • Review sales performance regularly and use insights to guide and influence strategic decision-making.
  • Use strong analytical skills to influence the sales planning process and support the delivery of distribution and sales objectives.
  • Customer Relationship Management
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with Walmart merchants and cross-functional partners.
  • Understand Walmart's strategic goals and decision-making processes to act as a trusted, strategic partner.
  • Support development of customer business reviews and category performance updates.
  • Participate in long-term strategic discussions with Walmart through JBP and Customer Focused Planning processes

Scope of Managerial & Leadership Responsibilities

  • This role has no direct reports.
  • Key cross-functional partners include Category Commercial, Retail Operations, Supply Chain, Category Sales and Insights, Omnichannel, and Finance.
  • Influence cross-functional partners and drive alignment across the Walmart business.

The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $105,000 USD. The exact salary offered will depend on several factors, including the candidate's relevant experience, geographic location, internal equity, and market conditions. Danone North America additionally offers a performance-based bonus and has a strong benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription Drug Coverage, 401k Plan, Wellness Program, Life Insurance, Tuition Reimbursement, Flexible Time Off, and Paid Parental Bonding Leave, among other benefit plan options. About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience within the CPG industry in customer-facing, sales support, or commercial roles.
  • Exposure to sales sub-functions is preferred: Category Management, Shopper Marketing, Retail, or Commercial Planning.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment with high accountability.
