Ampcus Inc. is a certified global provider of a broad range of Technology and Business consulting services. We are in search of a highly motivated candidate to join our talented Team. Job Title: Material Handler. Location: Greenville, NC. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Participate in project work as needed to achieve department goals.
  • Perform routine physical tasks involved in shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing of products/inventory.
  • Maintain storage area by organizing floor and rack space.
  • Keep warehouse equipment in good repair by performing daily preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Perform basic transactions associated with logistics processes through internal and external computer systems.
  • Inspect all items for quality and damages in the receiving, storing, and shipping processes, report findings to management.
  • Advise management of shortages or discrepancies in inventory levels.
  • Responsible for transport and staging of production materials to support production schedules.
  • Operate machinery such as sit-down or stand-up forklifts and pallet jacks to perform routine physical handling of items.
  • Utilize and maintain various tools and supplies required to assemble packaging and affix shipping labels.
  • Maintain office supply inventory in stockroom and storage areas.
  • Collect and correctly segregate industrial solid waste from all areas of the facilities and grounds.
  • Collect and correctly segregate pharmaceutical, universal, hazardous, and non-hazardous waste generated in the laboratory, manufacturing, and packaging operations.
  • Oversee and schedule waste removal activities to offsite locations.
  • Ensure facilities are clean and in a well-maintained state.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by properly handling waste collection and disposal in accordance with site and regulatory procedures.
Education or Equivalent Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Must have or be able to obtain certification in DOT/IATA regulations.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift 50-70 lbs unassisted.
  • Operate machinery and tools, including pallet jack and forklift.
  • Majority of work day is performed while standing, walking, lifting, pulling and pushing.
  • Ability to use hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
  • Ability to bend, squat, crawl, climb and reach.
  • Some exposure to hazardous chemical and other active pharmaceutical ingredients.
