Nokia of America Corporation, GDBI FN Customer Engineer - Enterprises (Multiple Positions), Dallas, TX.


  • Design, upgrade, and migrate Access Networks for Nokia customers, including XGS-PON,Nokia WiFi, TR-069 Standard Auto Configuration Server (ACS) and Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) introduction for new customers.

  • Provide support for System Integration & Verification involving planning, design, and execution.

  • Assist with Network Deployment Detailed Design involving developing configuration templates for software, hardware configuration templates, IP (Internet Protocol) addressing, VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network), Capacity, and QoS (Quality of Service) plans.

  • Perform Network Element Integration including customizing documentation, performing software updates to establish and validate connectivity to network and element management system.

  • Conduct Network Integration involving multiple Network Element Integrations.

  • Provide measurable input into new products, processes, standards or operational plans in support of business strategies.

  • Analyze, develop and implement concepts and solutions as a subject matter expert. #LI-DNI

Telecommuting from a location within commuting distance of Dallas, TX may be permitted up to 40%.

Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor's progressive related work experience; OR a Master's degree or foreign equivalent Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience.

  • Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience with the following:

  • Access technologies including GPON (Gigabyte Passive Optical Network) and XGS-PON (10 Gigabit Symmetrical);

  • Network element management systems;

  • Layer 2 and Layer3 protocols;

  • Develop configuration templates for software, hardware configuration templates, IP addressing, VLAN, Capacity, and QoS plans; and,

  • Network engineering, network design, and network integration.

Domestic travel required up to 15%.

Telecommuting from a location within commuting distance of Dallas, TX may be permitted up to 40%.
