Responsibilities
Clive Behavioral Healthis a 100-inpatient bed stand-alone mental health hospital. We provide compassionate inpatient and outpatient care for individuals who struggle with a behavioral health disorder or co-occurring disorders. Our care providers work closely with patients and their loved ones to help achieve their personal treatment goals. We provide a secure, healing environment for all our patients, staff and visitors. We also offer intensive outpatient programming (IOP) for adolescents aged 13 to 17 and a substance use disorder intensive outpatient program for adults called First Step Recovery. Our goal with all our programs is to help people reach their highest quality of life. Qualifications POSITION SUMMARY The Director of Clinical Services creates and oversees the development, implementation, and delivery of clinical programs and services necessary to meet key behavioral health needs of the community in keeping with the hospital's philosophy and goals and regulatory requirements. The Director of Clinical Services leads therapists, mental health counselors, discharge planners, social workers, substance use counselors, and various contracted services. The Director of Clinical Services recruits, trains, and mentors staff members in an effort to develop staff improve teamwork, morale and quality metrics. This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer. QUALIFICATIONS Education: Graduate of an accredited social work, or related mental health field; Master's Degree required. Experience: Minimum of five (5) years' experience in psychiatric/mental health field. Prefer candidates with a minimum of three (3) years' experience in advanced clinical/management practice. License: Candidates must hold a LISW license (Licensed Independent Social Worker) in the state of Iowa. Additional Requirements: A strong knowledge of TJC, HCFA, OSHA regulations, and patient rights standards and all other applicable federal and state laws and regulations governing mental health care facilities. Skills/Competencies: Clinical and management experience required: experience in inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings; demonstrated skills in working with diverse populations; experience in fiscal management; experience in clinical supervision; experience in crisis, individual, family and group treatment; oral, reading, writing and mathematical skills at the master's degree level; public speaking, teaching and training skills; experience in program development; skills in interpreting and applying standards and regulations; organizational, time management, problem solving, crisis management and team building skills, and demonstrated ability to be creative, flexible and calm.
