Inova IT Project Management Office (PMO) is looking for a dedicated IT PMO Manager to join the Team. This hybrid role will be full-time day-shift from Monday - Friday.

The IT Project Management Office Manager leads an organization responsible for the development of Inova's Information Technology Project Management Office. The IT PMO team will determine, implement and maintain Information Technology's Project Management tools, procedures, training, and project status reporting. Responsible for facilitating Inova's IT Governance Program to ensure new technology solutions align with Inova's security and technical standards. Leads Information Technology enterprise projects or those critical projects designated by senior IT leadership. Manages and provides oversight of PMO team members, to include day-to-day supervision, employee relations, and staff development activities. Manages department finances, to include the budgeting process.

IT Project Management Office Manager Responsibilities:

  • Leads the team in maintaining the status of all projects throughout the IT organization and reporting status to senior leadership.

  • Ensures that IT Project Portfolio is informative, transparent, and comprehensive in support of achieving project goals and outcomes.

  • Facilitates publication of accurate project portfolio views for consumption and feedback from stakeholders and leaders across the organization. Leads the team in selecting, implementing, and maintaining tools and procedures in support of project management for the IT organization.

  • Leads the team in establishing policies, procedures, tools, and training efforts to standardize project management efforts across the IT organization. Collaborates and provides support to decentralized IT project managers.

  • Leads Inova's IT Governance Program through managing business and vendor relationships, process, documentation, and education.

  • Support adoption of Agile, hybrid and traditional delivery methodologies appropriate for varying project types and teams.

  • Build and mentor a high-performing team of technical project managers and governance

  • team members. Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Partner across IT domains (Operations, Infrastructure, Security, Applications, and Data) to ensure cohesive project intake and delivery.

  • Coordinates and monitors the development of annual budget(s) and serves as Inova's IT Capital Expense Functional Reviewer

  • Monitors financial performance to ensure department meets budgeted revenue, expense ratios, and established financial goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree; or Associate's degree and 2 years relevant professional experience in addition to the minimum experience required; or HS Diploma/GED and 4 years relevant professional experience in addition to the minimum experience required
  • Experience: 5 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 years of project management experience, 4 years of IT leadership experience, with at least 2 years leading PMO functions preferred.

  • Demonstrated success leading governance, intake, and portfolio frameworks in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment preferred.

  • Strong understanding of ITIL, Agile, and PMBOK frameworks and their practical application in hybrid IT environments preferred.

  • Experience in healthcare or other highly regulated industries preferred.

  • PMP certification preferred.

  • Additional certifications in PMI-ACP, CSM, and/or ITIL v4 preferred.
