| Position Summary |
A full-time technician will support ongoing laboratory-based research activities. This position focuses on hands-on laboratory operations, including preparation, calibration, and routine oversight of laboratory instruments and equipment. The technician will conduct microscopic analyses, perform cold hardiness and stress-response assessments, and ensure accurate collection, organization, and management of laboratory-generated data.
Responsibilities also include maintaining and updating laboratory safety documentation, including Safety Data Sheets, and supporting compliance with institutional laboratory safety protocols. The technician will assist faculty and students by providing technical guidance during laboratory-based student projects and instructional activities. During peak harvesting periods, the technician will provide logistical and laboratory support related to sample processing and experimental workflows. |
