The Manager of Talent Acquisition (TA) oversees daily operations, managing recruitment, coordination, and programs to ensure an effective and consistent recruitment experience. In partnership with TA leadership, this manager will work to enable modernization efforts that improve speed, consistency, and experience.

The Manager ensures recruiting programs, processes, and technology are implemented effectively and used in ways that support a human-centric, scalable experience for candidates, hiring managers, and the TA team and serves as a hands-on people leader and operational partner. Performs other duties as assigned

Key accountabilities



  • Recruiting Operations & Coordination

    • Lead the daily operations of Talent Acquisition, ensuring recruiting activity is coordinated, prioritized, and executed effectively across high-volume and complex hiring needs
    • Oversee requisition flow, intake coordination, workload distribution, and delivery across recruiters and coordinators


  • High-Volume & Programmatic Recruitment

    • Support and oversee high-volume recruiting programs, ensuring roles are filled efficiently while maintaining quality and experience
    • Identify and address operational bottlenecks that impact speed, candidate experience, or recruiter capacity


  • People Leadership, Coaching & Mentorship

    • Directly coach and mentor recruiters, coordinators, and program resources, building capability, confidence, and consistency
    • Reinforce a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the TA team.


  • Modernization Enablement

    • Partner with the Director, TA to enable modernization initiatives by translating strategy into day-to-day execution
    • Support implementation and adoption of recruiting technology, tools, and dashboards in ways that streamline work and improve visibility - without losing the human element of recruiting
    • Champion simplified, repeatable processes that reduce friction for candidates, hiring managers, and the TA team


  • Experience & Stakeholder Partnership

    • Ensure a consistent, positive experience for candidates and hiring managers through clear coordination, communication, and follow-through
    • Act as a problem-solver for operational issues impacting experience or delivery
    • Support hiring leaders with guidance on timelines, expectations, and recruiting best practices.


  • Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence

    • Monitor operational performance and team capacity to identify opportunities for improvement
    • Partner with the Director, TA to test, refine, and scale improvements across the function
    • Document and standardize operational practices to support sustainability and growth.




Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • 5+ years of related experience, including direct people leadership within a Talent Acquisition/Human Resources environment


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience supporting recruiting process improvements or technology adoption
  • Background working in evolving or modernizing TA functions
  • Comfort operating in partnership with senior leaders while owning execution
  • Experience leading recruiting teams in high-volume and/or operationally complex environments
  • Demonstrated strength in coordination, execution, and program management
  • Proven people leader with a strong coaching and mentoring approach
  • Ability to balance structure and efficiency with a human-centered mindset


This position is an Office role, which requires an employee to work onsite at our Minnetonka, MN office, on average, 3 days per week.

The full salary grade for this position is $100,300 - $172,000. While the full salary grade is provided, the typical hiring salary range for this role is expected to be between $100,300 - $150,465. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data. In addition to compensation, Medica offers a generous total rewards package that includes competitive medical, dental, vision, PTO, Holidays, paid volunteer time off, 401K contributions, caregiver services and many other benefits to support our employees.
