If so, the Sandia National Laboratories (SNL) Radiation Protection (RP) organization (4610) is seeking an Environmental Health Physicist (HP) within Department 4612, RP Policy & Administration. This position is within the RP Quality & Compliance (RPQC) group, which implements the SNL Corporate Radiation Protection Program in accordance with 10 CFR 835, DOE Order 458.1, 10 CFR 830, and other applicable DOE requirements. The Environmental HP is responsible for implementing environmental radiation protection requirements for SNL/New Mexico in partnership with corporate ES&H organizations and environmental site stewards. $102,400 - $199,700 *Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential. Qualifications We Require

About Our Team
The Radiation Protection organization (4610) provides radiation protection support services to Sandia line organizations and serves as the steward of the corporate Radiation Protection Program. Services include translating DOE directives and federal regulations into Sandia-specific requirements and guidance; developing tools to identify and control hazards associated with radioactive materials and radiation-generating devices; providing trained and qualified personnel to support radiological activities and operations across the Laboratories; and performing workplace sampling and monitoring to verify the effectiveness of radiological controls.
