Job Description

Position Overview
The Facility Manager is responsible for diagnosing, scheduling, supervising, and performing maintenance, repair, and operational oversight for the Springfield facility. This role ensures that building systems, equipment, and spaces are safe, functional, efficient, and compliant with all applicable regulations. The position requires strong technical expertise, the ability to independently solve problems, and skills in coordinating both internal resources and external service providers. As this location grows, the role may expand to include supervisory responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
Facility Operations & Safety
* Identify and report potential facility issues to Campus Facilities leadership.
* Maintain a safe, compliant, and functional facility environment.
* Serve as the primary contact for building staff, tenants, and occupants regarding facility needs or concerns.
* Act as point person during emergencies, including power outages, leaks, weather events, and other disruptions.
Vendor Coordination & Contract Management
* Coordinate services with external vendors including HVAC, elevators, landscaping, pest control, and others.
* Review and verify vendor work quality; manage service contracts and performance.
* Develop, maintain, and track preventive maintenance schedules for building systems and equipment.
Maintenance & Repairs
* Perform routine facility repairs including doors, locks, drywall, flooring, and building fixtures.
* Monitor and perform minor troubleshooting of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and security systems.
* Replace lighting, filters, belts, and basic mechanical components.
Work Order & Inventory Management
* Maintain accurate work order systems and documentation.
* Order and track supplies, tools, and equipment as needed.
* Assist with room setups, office moves, and space reconfigurations.
Custodial & General Upkeep
* Sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitize common areas.
* Conduct periodic deep cleaning, including floors, windows, and high touch surfaces.
* Empty trash and recycling; clean restrooms and restock supplies.

Shift

6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Minimum Qualifications

Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

Five years of facility-related experience.

A valid driver's license is required.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $25.00 - $30.00 hourly

Grade: GGS-008
