Training Support Team Specialist

Salary range is 45,000 to 55,000

Roles and Responsibilities



  • Set up and tear down "Hot Area" training venues.
  • Perform functions as an Agent Handler.
  • Support all activities associated with toxic operations in the laboratory.
  • Support training on outdoor rehearsal pads.
  • Set-up and recover interior toxic area and outdoor training venues.
  • Set-up emergency response equipment - respond to emergencies.
  • Conduct personnel decontamination and DOFF.
  • Decontaminate and clean the hot area recovery.
  • Collect, sort, and containerize trash.
  • Restock and reset the hot area.
  • Must meet Chemical Personnel Reliability Program requirements.
  • Must be clean shaven and physically able to wear military protective masks, chemical protective overgarments, and work in lethal toxic hazard areas up to 6 continuous hours.
  • Comply with established safety procedures.
  • Complete all associated administrative tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:



  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Former emergency management HAZMAT technician or Army Technical Escort experience preferred.
  • Experience handling hazardous materials (agents) preferred.
  • Must maintain fitness-for-duty standards (CAT 1 Physical).
  • Must be able to wear and work in various levels of personal protective clothing.
  • Must comply with the Drug Free Workplace Program.
  • Must be able to meet Government Medical Surveillance Program requirements.
  • Must be able to meet and have a favorable adjudicated T3 Investigation
  • Experienced in Hazardous Materials, Hazardous Waste Management, and Environmental Science
  • Must meet Fort Leonard Wood installation access requirements.
  • Must be able to read and write English.
