Sigma Defense is currently seeking a Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering student to fill our Software Engineering Intern part-time role in support of our Electronic Warfare (EW) training systems work in Fairmont, WV.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with Linux operating systems.
  • Comfortable with containerized development workflows.
  • Working knowledge of C++, Python and Bash scripting.
  • Ability to follow direction of a Mentor/Supervisor.
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Math or physics background a plus.
  • Interest and understanding of RF signals and radar technologies.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

Education Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree from an accredited college of university in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.

Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive):

  • Work in a multi-disciplinary team environment to assist in developing custom software applications in support of our DoD customers.
  • The design, building, refactoring, and modernizing of C++ code and associated containerization.
  • This is an on site position, remote work is not possible.

Pay Range: $25.00 per hour.
