Job Title: Banking Operations Analyst

Location: Brooklyn, OH 44144 (Onsite)

Duration: 10+ months

Pay Range: $25/hr. - $27/hr.

Department Overview
The Treasury Operations Department is responsible for processing transactions and preparing internal and regulatory reports related to the Investment Portfolio, Collateral Management, Funding (including Liabilities), and Safekeeping functions. The department supports multiple Lines of Business and affiliated entities by maintaining an accurate and current system of record for all Treasury-related transactions. Additionally, the team ensures strong internal controls and full compliance with SOX regulations.

Position Summary
The Treasury Operations Analyst is responsible for maintaining accurate records of all Treasury transactions while supporting portfolio management, funding activities, collateral management, and safekeeping operations. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating across business lines and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Management



  • Manage fixed income securities, including bonds.
  • Settle fixed income and equity trades.
  • Process principal and interest payments.
  • Perform General Ledger reconciliations and ensure accurate financial reporting.


Funding & Liquidity Management



  • Administer debt issuances and borrowings.
  • Process principal and interest payments.
  • Monitor aggregate cash positions at the Federal Reserve.
  • Conduct due from account reviews.
  • Initiate large-value wire transfers.
  • Perform General Ledger reconciliations.


Collateral Management



  • Pledge securities to support contracts, products, and public deposits.
  • Monitor daily collateral surpluses and deficits across all positions.


Safekeeping Operations



  • Execute buy and sell transactions.
  • Process principal and interest payments.
  • Distribute trade confirmations and receipts.
  • Reconcile General Ledger entries.


Reporting & Controls



  • Prepare and deliver managerial, financial, and regulatory reports in accordance with Service Level Agreements.
  • Maintain robust internal controls to ensure SOX compliance.
  • Research and analyze transaction patterns and trends.
  • Identify and implement process improvements.


Collaboration & Systems Support



  • Build strong relationships with Line of Business partners to resolve discrepancies.
  • Participate in departmental projects.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to define, test, and implement system enhancements and bug fixes.
  • Maintain proficiency across multiple desks/functions and provide cross-functional support as needed.


Essential Qualifications



  • Working knowledge of accounting principles and General Ledger structures, including maintaining balanced entries.
  • Minimum three years of experience in financial operations with knowledge of fixed income securities, paydowns, pricing, and security movements.
  • Proficiency in trade and wire systems, including Lightning and Collateral Matrix Database.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (including VLOOKUP) and strong MS Office proficiency.
  • Ability to perform reconciliations accurately between systems and General Ledgers.
  • Experience working within various financial platforms.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently under tight deadlines.
  • Professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Adaptable, self-motivated, and results oriented.
  • Willingness to work extended hours when needed.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent Operations experience.
  • Working knowledge of the Lightning (LFM) database system.
  • Experience with free security movements utilizing different systems.
  • Working knowledge of the CMS (Collateral Management System) database.
  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts and develop in-depth knowledge across multiple operational functions.
