About the Role

We are seeking an FSQA Technician to join our team at our Santa Ana, CA bakery. As an FSQA Technician, you will be accountable for protecting food safety and product quality by performing sampling, testing, monitoring critical control points, and documenting results in alignment with Aspire Bakeries' Integrated Management System (AIMS). This role is vital in ensuring regulatory compliance, preventing foodsafety risks, and supporting continuous production operations.

Shift & Schedule



  • Shift: 1st
  • Hours: 6AM - 2:30PM
  • Weekend availability: Required



Compensation



  • Hourly Rate: $21.50



Core Accountabilities (What You'll Be Doing)



  • Conduct product and process tests, documenting results and ensuring immediate corrective action for deviations
  • Monitor and verify Critical Control Points (CCPs), taking decisive action to stop production or place product on hold when needed
  • Inspect equipment, packaging, and environment; address or escalate nonconformances to protect food safety
  • Ensure adherence to GMPs and foodsafety standards across production areas
  • Maintain accurate QA documentation, SAP entries, and hold procedures
  • Provide QA support on the production line and train line leads as backup QA resources
  • Collaborate with supervisors and production teams to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations



Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)



  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years of experience in food manufacturing, QA/QC, or related roles
  • Ability to operate scales, metal detectors, imaging devices, ovens, and other measuring tools
  • Experience using SAP for documentation and holds
  • Strong communication and observational skills
  • Must be at least 18 years of age



Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)



  • Some college coursework in science or related field
  • Previous QA experience in a bakery or foodmanufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, or foodsafety regulations
  • Ability to train others and support a foodsafety culture
  • Strong decisionmaking skills in fastpaced environments
